For back health and pressure point relief, a strong pocket coil and dense comfort layers are what you're likely looking for. The Silver Series "Aware Luxury Firm" by Simmons Beautyrest is a great example of a mattress possessing these qualities. As per the norm, they've improved upon an already-great model this year and they've offered it at a competitively low price.
Quite a high coil count, the Aware has nearly 27 coils per square foot. The individually wrapped pocketed coils are composed of a medium-low gauge steel so that they last and also provide some pliability, in order to contour with your body.
It's important that a mattress with so many layers of foam above its springs is comprised of layers that are breathable; no one wants to sleep hot. In fact, heat is one of the leading reasons that people lose sleep. The Aware's Airfeel Foam and Gel Memory Foam Lumbar Support definitely help to counter transfer of body heat.

Aware - Luxury Firm Beautyrest Mattress An ideal luxury firm has a reasonably high coil count, a cooling layer, a sufficient buildup of foams atop firm support layers and a strong foam encased edge. The Beautyrest Aware Luxury Firm (from their renowned Silver line) has all of those features and more! I'm quite impressed with this mattress.
I am supposed to remain impartial but I'm growing quite fond of the Simmons Beautyrest models. You really can't get a better mattress for your buck; their Silver models compete directly with mattresses far more expensive than they are.
With foams (including those that are proprietary to only Simmons) that relieve pressure against your body, it's impressive that they've offered a Gel Memory Foam Lumbar Support. This mattress was made with not only firmness in mind but also significant comfort. This is the kind of bed that may make you feel as though you are sleeping on a very supportive cloud.
