The Crystal is one of the top models in the Four Seasons line. If you're not familiar, the Four Seasons line of mattresses by Spring Air is two-sided and each side is crafted to optimize different times of the year. There is a cooler (silk) side for spring/summer sleep and there is a warmer (wool) side for winter and fall rest. Not only do these different materials utilize temperature regulation, they provide a bit more comfort to you, when you first lie down.
Luxury Firms have become probably the most popular feel of mattress in the sleep product industry. This is because they offer the supportive feel of a firm but they also have the initial comfort foams that add some cushion to your pressure points. Each side of this mattress has three whole inches of foam between you and the coil and the density and quality of those foams can be felt immediately.
For a stable, motionless, body contouring, cool sleep, there really isn't much that the Crystal is missing. It's manufactured in the USA (Grand Rapids, MI) and is CertiPUR-US certified as non-toxic.

The Crystal is a part of the Four Seasons line (by Spring Air) that utilizes two different covers; one is wool for the colder months and one is silk for the warmer ones. In addition to 'flip mattresses' being longer-lasting, this temperature regulation feature is really something unique; it's probably one of the reasons why this line of mattresses is one of the nation's best sellers.
This mattress is a luxury firm; it has HR (High Resiliency), High Density foam and latex, atop a body contouring pocketed coil spring system. There is the customary foam encasement that reduces motion transfer. With a coil count of 800, it's high enough to provide optimal support but just low enough to be indicative of the coils being made from thicker than average metal.
For a firm (though, not rock-hard) feel and a cool sleep, I'd recommend this model. It's completely American made, from American materials and is certified as non-toxic. (CertiPUR).
