The London Firm is a straightforward mattress. It's firm, it's heavy duty and it's not full of unneeded features or materials. It's high density firm foam, a heavy duty Bonnell spring unit, luxurious quilting and Restonic's expert craftsmanship. Those basic specifications come together to form a great feeling and supportive bed that is sure to last a long time.
The London is a double-sided mattress so it can be flipped periodically - adding to its durability. It's also a coil-to-the-edge build so its feel is consistent all the way across. And, that lack of foam encasement also keeps the bed less hot, so, there's a chance that you'll enjoy a cooler sleep in the London. The coil unit in this mattress is also considered to be the strongest in the industry. This bed has what many would consider to be a 'traditional feel'.
Like all of Restonic's mattresses, the London Firm is made with 100% CertiPUR-US foams. It's also made in the USA.

Over the years, I've repeatedly been told by potential customers that they'd like something that 'feels like the mattress they slept on thirty (or more) years ago'. I always take that to mean that they want something heavy, long-lasting and with a sturdier feel than the recent lightweight beds that they've come to know. If that's the case, the London Firm may become the go-to for me in that situation.
For all of the talk of the greatness of the individually wrapped coil, the old fashioned Bonnell coils can feel quite good. Perhaps Restonic uses a slightly different spring unit but I've come to find that their many models with that coil compete in comfort with nearly anything on my sales floor. It could also be the high density firm foam within also because, it's definitely noticeable that those layers keep the motion transfer down.
The London is a very heavy mattress that is sure to last you a long time. Adding to the durability of this bed is the fact that it's finished on both sides - it can be flipped.
For a traditional feel but with the latest and production quality, give the London Firm a try; it's even available in custom sizes!
