Last year we had the Ella and it was one of the better-selling firm mattresses that we carried. The Scarlett Firm Mattress is an improvement on last year's design and Symbol Mattress has managed to offer it at a very low price. If you've read through the site, you'll know that I like my mattresses quite firm. Note that the Scarlett is not an "Extra Firm" but a "Firm". That puts it right in the "7" range on the firmness scale. (out of ten). While seated on the mattress, it feels reasonably soft but when you lie on your back or side, the individually wrapped coils seem to hug your body and create a great level of support; even for larger people.
