For many years, this was a great-selling and affordable option in standard sizes. Symbol Mattress has now made it available in custom and antique sizes; oftentimes perfect for many of these needs because it comes in at only six inches thick.

An advantage of a poly foam mattress is that it won't sink in, in the way that memory foam does. Poly foam also doesn't retain heat in the way that a visco-elastic model would. Additonally, if your sleep has ever been disturbed by the bouncing and swaying motion that comes with owning an innerspring mattress, the "Custom Antique 6" may be a good option for you. With its quilted cover and Symbol Foam, it's a nice feel for such a budget-conscious price. This mattress has a firmer feel - offering a respectable level of support.

Made in the USA of non-toxic (CertiPUR-US) foams, you can rest more easily without worrying about breathing in a strong smell that tends to indicate unnatural materials. This mattress is comprised of two layers: one of comfortable soft foam and one of a medium-density base foam.

Custom Antique 6 - All-Foam Mattress

As much as we like to offer mattresses that contain the enormously wide array of features that are available these days, sometimes both comfort and serviceability are very well achieved when things are kept simple. The "Custom Antique 6" is a basic all-foam mattress made by Symbol Mattress and it's absolutely great for many of our customers who need custom/odd sizes made; it comes in at only six inches thick and fits most antique and RV needs. On this polyurethane foam model, you won't experience the movement when someone gets in or out of the bed.

Over the years, an almost innumerable amount of people have purchased this simply-constructed mattress model - in larger sizes and for multiple sleepers. It's very affordable and has a track record of holding up for much longer than expected. With a base layer that's quite firm, Symbol has added a soft inch to its construction; giving it a medium-firm comfort level. I - personally - have always liked poly foam mattresses because they don't seem to hold very much of my body heat.

If a firmer sleeping surface that doesn't contain a spring unit is what you are seeking, this is definitely a model to have a look at. It packs a lot of comfort into a lower profile design; great for those custom needs for which you require a thinner mattress. You'll still experience supportive comfort with this basic and budget-minded bed option.
